What this site collects

christopheleyder.com is a personal portfolio site. It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. It uses a single privacy-respecting visitor counter, described in the Analytics section below.

Analytics

The site counts page views with GoatCounter, an open-source analytics service built for exactly this kind of minimal counting. For each page view it records the page URL, the referring site, browser and screen size, and a country-level location derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored. It sets no cookies, stores no persistent identifier on your device, does not track you across other websites, and cannot identify you personally. The counter script is served from this site's own domain, and the data is processed by GoatCounter under its privacy policy. The site owner uses these counts only to see whether the site is being visited.

Contact form

The contact form on the home page asks for a name, an email address, and a message. Submissions are received and stored by Netlify Forms (this site's hosting provider, under Netlify's privacy policy) and are read only by the site owner, who uses them solely to reply. They are never shared with third parties or used for marketing. If you would rather not use the form, you can email christopheleyder@gmail.com directly. To have a submission deleted, use the address in the Your rights section below.

What your browser sends to the host

The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's edge servers automatically receive standard HTTP request metadata when you visit a page (IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp) for the purpose of serving the content and operating the network. This data is processed by Netlify under their privacy policy. No additional data is logged or retained by the site owner beyond what Netlify collects by default.

Embedded third parties

Some pages embed video from third-party services. When you load a page that contains an embed, your browser establishes a connection to the embed provider, which may collect data under that provider's own privacy policy:

• Vimeo: project breakdowns and trailers, loaded with dnt=1 to disable Vimeo's tracking analytics for the embed (vimeo.com/privacy)
• YouTube: selected trailers and breakdowns, loaded via youtube-nocookie.com so no cookies are set unless you press play (policies.google.com/privacy)

Webfonts (Outfit, Manrope, Fira Code) are self-hosted and served from this site, not from Google's CDN. The site sets referrer-policy: strict-origin-when-cross-origin on every page to limit referrer information sent to embed providers.

Cookies

The site does not set any cookies and does not use any browser storage.
