Led VFX supervision across the full campaign pipeline, coordinating between Out the Fox and the Luma Animation team on look development, simulation, 3D asset creation, and compositing. Managed a team of 8 3D artists and 7 compositors to deliver seamless VFX integration across multiple spots featuring global talent.
A major component of the project was integrating David Beckham into the campaign. He was unable to attend the on-location shoot in Qatar, so all of his footage was captured separately against green screen. Our team then composited him into every plate, matching lighting, camera movement, and environment to make the integration seamless. Getting the detail right across varying locations and lighting conditions was one of the most demanding aspects of the project.
The campaign was produced by The Edge for AKQA, with Giorgio Bruni directing and Joe Douglas as Director of Photography. Our VFX work spanned look development and simulation, full CG environments, and final compositing, all delivered on an international broadcast schedule across cinema, television, and digital platforms including Netflix.
