VFX Supervision
Led VFX supervision across the full campaign pipeline, bridging Out the Fox and the Luma Animation team across look development, simulation, 3D asset creation, and compositing. Coordinated a team of 8 3D artists and 7 compositors through multiple simultaneous spots, each with different locations, lighting conditions, and talent integration requirements, delivering on an international broadcast schedule with cinema, television, and digital deliverables.
Beckham Green Screen Integration
The central VFX challenge was David Beckham's integration across the entire campaign. He was unavailable for the on-location Qatar shoot, so all of his footage was captured separately on green screen in a different environment entirely. Our team was responsible for compositing him into every plate, matching lighting direction, colour temperature, ground shadow, lens characteristics, and camera movement convincingly across a wide range of locations and lighting setups. The degree of variation in the backgrounds made this a technically demanding extraction and integration problem, requiring individual treatment on every shot rather than any batch approach.
Multi-Talent, Multi-Spot Scale
Beyond Beckham, the campaign featured five additional global figures: Turkish actress Hande Erçel, British athlete Sir Mo Farah, Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur, Indian composer Anirudh Ravichander, and Chef Nobu. Each had their own spot and VFX requirements. Coordinating consistent look development, CG environments, and compositing across all spots simultaneously, with a unified visual identity, was the organisational challenge of the project.
Full CG Pipeline
In addition to compositing, the Luma team delivered full CG environment work and simulation for sequences where practical locations were extended or replaced entirely. This covered look development and shading for hero assets, Karma rendering, Houdini FX for atmospheric and environmental elements, and final Nuke compositing passes, all built to broadcast and cinema specifications.
